ENDORSEMENTS

Dear Mayor and Councilmen,

I am writing to encourage your consideration of my husband, Kenney Hrabik, to fill the vacant city council seat this evening. Clearly there are many applicants with wonderful qualifications, but I truly feel Kenney brings something unique to the dais.

Kenney is sincerely the most creative individual I have ever met. He is a true entrepreneur, and businessman. Most importantly, he is an honest man of integrity. He is generous, kind, and seeks to lift others. He is a man of passion and hard work and excels at anything he views as a worthy goal.

Kenney is driven not by politics, but by his relationship with God. He values this relationship above all things. This keeps his heart focused on what truly matters — our family, and serving others. His passion for life and great tenacity are tempered by his generous nature and good heart.

I know his love for this community in sincere. His desire to serve is true and good. With the current Chiquita Ridge project on the table, there is not another applicant with as much unique talent and strength to offer this council. Kenney brings insight, experience, connections, and skills from a lifetime dedicated to the event industry and entertainment business.

Twenty-two years ago I took a chance on a young man offering me his plan, vision and dreams for the future. I have yet to be disappointed or mislead. Kenney has done nothing but exceed all of my expectations as a husband, father to our four children, and provider for our family.

It would be my honor to share with you, my husband Kenney Hrabik, and all he has to offer the Rancho Santa Margarita City Council and community.

Sincerely,
Leigh Hrabik

I support my father, Kenney Hrabik, for the open City Council seat. I believe he represents a voice from the business community that the city is lacking as of right now. He is the best choice when it comes to economic development and a business friendly atmosphere, something he has been able to experience first hand. We currently have outstanding council members who do a great job in keeping this city safe and a great place to raise a family but let's bring a voice of business to the circle. Combined with his business experience, Kenney Hrabik has the strong-willed and enthusiastic personality that Rancho Santa Margarita needs to help this city grow and thrive into the best city it can be. As you go forward in choosing a candidate for the open City Council position I would ask that you please consider Kenney Hrabik.

Thank you for your time,
McKenzie Hrabik

Dear Councilman:
Kushner, Smith, Joanou & Gregson
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS

I am writing to endorse Kenney Hrabik to fill the vacant city council seat that was vacated by Councilman Thompson on March 21, 2011. I would like you to consider Mr. Hrabik for the following reasons:

  • Mr. Hrabik is a local business man that owns and operates a very successful business in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita. He employs many people who live and work in our city. Because of his business Mr. Hrabik has a very good feel for the local economy and business environment. This is important when it comes to encouraging our city to be a business friendly city and the needs of employment for our residents.
  • Mr. Hrabik is also a very conservative and fiscally responsible businessman that will bring great experience levels to the city when it comes for budget approvals and other matters related to finance.
  • Mr. Hrabik has 4 children that attend high school, middle school and elementary school which will allow him to not only understand the current education environment but will understand the many different needs that families in our community face along with the challenges that our children face each day. With his family, Mr. Hrabik is heavily vested in our city which I think will give him the ability to make good decisions for our city and our children.
  • Most importantly, Mr. Hrabik is an honest and kind man. Local governments need to have people serve on city councils with these character traits to prevent corruption from entering into the local city government and avoid embarrassment that is befalling other cities. City Councilman needs to be kind to the people they serve so that all will feel welcome and equal. This trait will serve our city well and will allow potential disputes to be resolved quickly. I ask you to please strongly consider Mr. Hrabik to serve in the vacant seat that was vacated by Councilman Thompson. I highly recommend him for this position and feel he has all the necessary qualifications that will allow him to make the best decisions for our city. I am a resident of Dove Canyon and urge you to please consider this recommendation.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Hayman:

It is my sincere pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Kenney Hrabik.

Over the past eighteen years I have enjoyed a close personal relationship with Kenney Hrabik and his family. Throughout this period of time my dealings with Kenney have interwoven personal, professional, and community based relationships, each serving to reinforce my belief in him as a person of character and integrity.

Presently I am a principle as well as President and CEO of West Coast Grass Distributors, a company based in Rancho Santa Margarita. Previously I served as President and CEO of Strategic Asset Services, as well as President of SAS of California Inc., also based in Rancho Santa Margarita. I am a scout leader within the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and a youth leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons).

Through professional and family associations, I have worked with and socialized with numerous elected officials, appointed officials, and luminaries. Kenney Hrabik stands out among these distinguished men and women as a generous person who has continually demonstrated a level of love and compassion I have rarely seen in others.

I have always known Kenney to be a man of deep compassion. I have personally witnessed covert acts of benevolence and generosity toward men of means, as well as those who labor to make ends meet. These traits as well as the practical experiences he has acquired as an entrepreneur, his civic contributions, and his love of our community, sets him apart as the ideal candidate to temporarily occupy the council seat vacated by Gary Thompson.

We are all aware of remarkable individuals whose lives intersect our own. My association with Kenney has been of great benefit to me personally as I have observed and have tried to emulate many of the virtues he has demonstrated through almost two decades of friendship. Consequently I am a better husband, father, and friend. His example has shown me how to find good in others, even as they attempt to tear you down.

Thank you for your serious consideration of Kenney to serve on our City Council. I write this a bit selfishly as I am convinced our community will be all the better if he is afforded the privilege of joining you and the others on the City Council.

Please feel free to contact me at 949-677-9012 anytime for further praise or with any questions.

Respectfully,
Patrick G Brokaw

Re: Letter of Recommendation - Kenney Hrabik

To whom it may concern,

Kenney Hrabik has been a close friend of my family for the past 15 years. For all that time, we have known Kenney to be a man of tremendous integrity, leadership, and determination. He has repetitively been able to take on difficult tasks, demanding much of his time and efforts, in order to meet the needs of his family, his friends, his community, his Church, and his small business.

I have worked with Kenney in a number of leadership positions within our Church, where I have been able to observe, first hand, his ability to provide direction, instruction, and guidance with humanity, kindness and a friendly manner. Kenney is a man that can be, when necessary, very passionate about standing up for what is fair and right. Make no mistake this man is someone you want to have in your corner when times get challenging. His loyalty and friendship can always be counted upon.

In his chosen profession Kenney Hrabik has a laid back demeanor that never intimidates. This allows his clients to be at ease when around him, so together they can make the necessary decisions, whether its creating exciting and fun activities for high school youth, or beautiful weddings and receptions for anxiety-ridden grooms and brides- to-be.

As was mentioned during the permit hearings for Kenney’s business, he has time and again offered his service to community groups to support their unique and worthwhile causes. This was not done for publicity sake, rather because service is one of the cornerstones that make up the foundation that is Kenney Hrabik.

So it is with great pride, that I call Kenney Hrabik my friend. And my family and I wholly recommend, endorse and strongly support his willingness to provide service for our community.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Ron Hunsaker

Dear Councilman,

I am writing in support and recommendation of applicant, Kenney Hrabik, to fill the vacant city council seat. It has been my privilege and honor to know Kenney and his family for over 10 years. I have been resident in Rancho Santa Margarita for nearly 20 years now and I take a keen interest in the well being and direction of our community. During this last election, the voters communicated their desire for the city to move forward in a business friendly, safe and growing direction and to not simply keep the status quo. I expect the council to uphold the voters’ voiced intent.

While changes in the council were unforeseen, I highly recommend Mr. Hrabik to the vacant seat because his priorities are consistent with our community’s goals and the voters’ desires. He will be very fair in dealing with matters placed before him by weighing all the information to reach reasonable and rational conclusions. His family is first in his life. He is an entrepreneur with the ability to manage businesses. He can be creative and see opportunities where others do not. The fact he has started businesses clearly shows he is a starter and a finisher. And importantly, Kenney is an honest and generous man.

I believe he is best suited to help bring business to the area and stabilize the city’s financial strengths through growth, not relying on only what was happened in the past. We need fresh ideas and perspectives. Kenney will bring that to the council.

Thank you for the opportunity to speak on this very important matter.

Kindest regards,
Brad Cooper

Dear Council Members:

This letter is recommending a good friend, and outstanding member of our community, Kenney Hrabik, for the vacant position on the City Council.

I have known Kenney for almost 20 years, and in my opinion, you will not find a more honest and hard-working individual. I have always known him to treat everyone he meets with great respect and compassion. He is truly without guile.

Professionally, Kenney is a dedicated business owner, who has worked extremely hard for everything he has. My family has attended numerous events held at the Dove Canyon Courtyard, where he has offered the venue as a service to the community. Kenney knows the importance of service in the community, and leads in this regard by example. He has a knack for working through challenges that have come his way with stamina, tenacity and confidence.

You will not find a better individual to fill the vacant position on the Rancho Santa Margarita City Council than my friend, Kenney Hrabik.

Sincerely,

To Whom it May Concern:

In the fourteen years I have known Kenney Hrabik I have been impressed with his dedication to any endeavor in which he has been involved.

My son is a student in his early morning Bible study for our church. He does this at 6:30am, Monday through Friday as a volunteer. My son has learned a great deal from him and I appreciate the example that he sets of a family man with values.

The quality that I respect most about Kenney is his giving and generous nature. I have seen him give of his time, money, business equipment and location more than I can count over the past fourteen years. He has donated his wedding venue, the Dove Canyon Courtyard, for various events including memorials, scouts, banquets, etc. I remember one example of this from last year. A 10 year old boy from RSM passed away and the family needed a place for the memorial. He didn’t know the family and it was last minute, but Kenney offered the DCC to them for no cost. It, actually, ended up costing him money.

I hope you will give serious consideration to selecting Kenney for the interim City Council position. I feel he would be a great addition. We need a business owner on our Council. I believe his input could be of great value to our city. He can be counted on not just to work hard, but to represent the city in a positive light.

Sincerely,
Jamie Neilson

Kenney Hrabik has my full support for the open City Council seat. Please give full consideration to his application. Kenney is an honest, intelligent citizen who is business minded. Although there are many other outstanding qualities, I list these qualities specifically because of personal experiences of sitting on community and private boards. Kenney will bring the logical business component often times missing in a board. Honesty should be an absolute requirement and I personally know Kenney to be such. He does not compromise his morals, a rarity in today's society. Intelligent, to be able to understand the many facets that are discussed and decided for the betterment of RSM. I support Kenney Hrabik for the open City Council seat.

Thank you,
Jeff Starr

Re: Kenney Hrabik, City Council Assignment

To All Interested Parties:
I have known Kenney Hrabik for many years. I have dealt with him on both a personal and professional basis during this time. I have found Kenney to exercise common sense, fairness and decency in all of his dealings. He has been a long-time resident of Rancho Santa Margarita and gives back to the community through teaching youth classes as well as through his involvement with Dove Canyon Courtyard. He has operated successful businesses in Rancho Santa Margarita and has enabled many people, including young people ages 16 to 25, to work for him and earn extra income.

Re: Kenney Hrabik

I am writing to recommend Kenney Hrabik for the open City Council seat with the City of Rancho Santa Margarita. I have known Kenney for many years and as a local business owner I feel that he is a highly qualified candidate for the open vacated seat from the previous council member Gary Thompson. He has been a resident of Rancho Santa Margarita and is aware of many of the issues the city has been faced with.

He is a very responsible individual that believes government is here to support the people as well as services needed. Over the last few years he has been faced with many situations that have allowed him the opportunity to interact with people of the community as well as local government including the planning commission, staff as well as the City Council.

Kenney has shown his commitment to the City of Rancho Santa Margarita and has been an active participant in many community endeavors.

Kenney works very well with others because he is a sincere and honest person. He is enthusiastic and hard working and is very much respected by those he comes in contact with.

Kenney can be best described as intelligent, sincere and hard working. I know that he has the ability and desire to be a very capable in whatever he does. I highly recommend him for this open position with the City of Rancho Santa Margarita. If you ever need to contact me for additional information, I can be contacted at the following.

He is dedicated to the welfare of our community, an effective and successful businessman, and most of all conducts his professional and personal life with the utmost of integrity.

I was very pleased to hear that Mr. Hrabik was one of the very final few to be considered for the position of City Council. I would hope that you would consider his selection as the best possible step in filling the vacant position.

He has always been a strong supporter of this community and I consider him a person with high integrity and above reproach. The kind of person we need to move this City forward in these trying times, and with an uncertain future being driven by a State Government out of control.

Dear Mayor Beall, Councilman Holloway, Councilman Baric, Councilman Petrilla and Manager Hayman:

We first of all needed to take a moment to express to you our sincere appreciation for the way in which each of you handled the tough situation during the recent meetings regarding Dove Canyon Courtyard. We don’t know what else you could have done to make the situation more fair for both sides. And while our family and many others have and always will be strong supporters of this business here in our community, it’s unfortunate that a few didn’t see it the same way, even after many hours spend discussing it on open forum. Of particular concern to us along the way were the were the rude, crude comments from the other side. In contrast, not once did our side even consider telling someone in front or behind us, who happened to have a differing view, to “f___ off”. Nor did we leave the meeting with a two-handed, full salute. There’s a great book that talks of this very thing…”by their fruits ye shall know them”. We definitely know them much better now for having gone through this experience.

Throughout this entire process, Kenney and Leigh Hrabik have not only remained diligent in their efforts, they have acted with the upmost integrity and grace. They constantly give back to this community in many ways, including making this wonderful facility of their available to us all. It is clean, well-run, and presents an image of the highest quality. The music inside of it is always tasteful and refreshing. I frequently stop in on a Saturday morning after my workout at Gold’s Gym to just listen to the nice music for a few minutes while they’re doing an open house. This is truly a great gathering place here in our city.

That all being said, we recently have become aware that Kenney Hrabik was being considered for a spot on the City Council. We frankly don’t know of one other individual at this time who would do a better job at this than Kenney. Please consider his name carefully. We would support him 100%, as would hundreds of not thousands of others around town.

Thanks again,
