Business Economic Development

Next to public safety, most candidates agree that our top priority must be business development and retention. We must continue to bring quality businesses to our city to help create local jobs and add to our tax base.

I AM THE ONLY CANDIDATE THAT HAS EXPERIENCE CREATING LOCAL JOBS AND ADDING TO OUR MUCH NEEDED TAX BASE

What the other candidates are talking about doing, I'm currently doing and have already done. In 2005, I relocated my business, AllStar Events Inc., from Lake Forest to Rancho Santa Margarita. By moving to RSM, we were able to expand and add many local jobs. Most of my employees now live in RSM. I am the only candidate with a RSM business.

I am also the only candidate that has experience developing a "destination business." I envisioned, developed and founded Dove Canyon Courtyard that brings thousands of out of town guests to RSM. These guests bring much needed tax dollars to our city.

As a business owner and CEO, I personally know the struggles businesses face in today's economy. I have to wear many hats. I deal every day with budgets, payrolls and employees, all while developing a business plan aimed at continuing to grow our company. I have negotiated hundreds of contracts with various vendors, clients, and landlords. My 26 year business experience would be a great asset to our city council.

I am the only candidate that has gone through the city's permitting process for opening a new business. I know I can offer insight to simplify this process and to assure our city is always "business friendly" and welcoming to new businesses.

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6th.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
